- Keep or redraw
- keep Garp or Bonney when 1-costs sit around them; Garp and Bonney together: always. Neither: send it back.
- Turn order
- go 2nd almost everywhere, and always in the mirror (players won 62% going 2nd, 35% going 1st). Our Pro AI goes 1st only against Kaido, purple Enel and Rosinante.
- The matchups that matter
- The mirror: players won 48% (66); go 2nd.
- Xebec: 40% (67); make the chain on time.
- Buggy: 64% (28), the best of the common ones. Hardest: yellow Enel (27%) and Kaido (32%).
- Top 3 mistakes
- Going 1st in the mirror.
- Spending counter cards at 4 Life.
- Trashing a Bonney when your board is full.
Miracle Luffy in one line: a Land of Wano deck on the red-green Luffy that wins with one turn: Jewelry Bonney plays Kouzuki Hiyori, and Hiyori plays Kouzuki Oden. When that chain came by their 3rd turn, players won 69% (142 games); when it never came, 30% (139).
What Is Miracle Luffy?
- The red-green Luffy (OP13-001) on a Land of Wano list: cheap cards dig, then one big turn puts out three or four Characters for the price of one.
- The chain: Jewelry Bonney plays Kouzuki Hiyori from your hand, and Hiyori plays Kouzuki Oden. Trafalgar Law can start it by playing Bonney.
- In players' games this week, when that chain came by their 3rd turn they won 69% (142 games); when it never came, 30% (139).
- Bonney is the engine: 5 DON!! for a 7000 that draws 2 and plays two 2000-or-less Characters from your hand. In players' Miracle games she played Hiyori 519 times, Nami 458 and Lucky Roux 262. In our Pro AI's close calls, Hiyori beat Nami as the pick 43 times in 59.
- Hiyori turns into a 5-cost: trash her to play a Land of Wano Character costing 5 or less from your hand, then draw 1. Players played Kouzuki Oden with her 578 times, Kawamatsu 47: Oden is the target (it draws 1, and one of their Characters can't attack or block until the end of their next turn). Hiyori into Kawamatsu is the fallback when there's no Oden: players who did it won 38% of those 42 games.
- Law plays Bonney: 6 DON!! for a 6000 that returns one of your Characters to your hand and plays a 5-cost-or-less from your hand, rested. Bonney's On Play still happens. Players did it 359 times.
- The rest is digging and resting: Garp, Otama and Emporio Ivankov dig on your 1st turn; Nami rests 2 of theirs; Vander Decken IX K.O.s one that's rested; Electrical Luna keeps them down; one Shanks rests them all.
- The Leader still defends: with a DON!! on it and 5 or fewer active DON!!, each DON!! you rest on their turn is +2000 for that battle. Nami is the only Straw Hat Crew Character, so it's your Leader or Nami.
The Deck
- The Wano package is the engine: Otama finds it, Kouzuki Hiyori turns into a free 5-cost, and both 5-costs (Kouzuki Oden, Kawamatsu) are 6000s that feed the rest of the deck.
- Jewelry Bonney plays two 2000-or-less Characters for free. Kouzuki Hiyori is the pick that wins games (players won 58% when Bonney played her, 25% when she never did); Nami and Lucky Roux fill the second slot.
- Shanks is the one finisher: it rests their whole board, Rush, 12000.
The list
The Perfect 10 Luffy: this exact list is the one our Pro AI plays in the Perfect 10 challenge.
| Card | Copies | Its job |
|---|---|---|
| Monkey D. Garp (OP13-016) | 4 | 1-cost: look at 4, take a card that costs 3 or more |
| Emporio Ivankov (ST30-004) | 4 | 1-cost: show two 6000-power Characters from your hand to draw 3, then trash 2 |
| Otama (OP07-022) | 4 | 1-cost, 2000 counter: look at 5 for a green Land of Wano card |
| Vander Decken IX (OP06-033) | 4 | 2-cost: trash a Fish-Man card from your hand to K.O. one of their rested Characters |
| You Can Be My Samurai!!! (OP01-055) | 3 | 1-cost event: rest 2 of your Characters to draw 2 |
| Electrical Luna (OP08-036) | 2 | 3-cost event: their rested 7-cost-or-less Characters don't stand up next turn |
| Lucky Roux (PRB02-003) | 4 | 4-cost Blocker: trash a 6000-or-more Character from your hand to draw 2 |
| Kouzuki Hiyori (EB01-013) | 4 | 4-cost: trash her to play a 5-cost-or-less Land of Wano Character from your hand, then draw 1 |
| Nami (OP14-031) | 4 | 4-cost Blocker: rest 2 of theirs; set up to 5 DON!! active at the end of the turn |
| Jewelry Bonney (EB05-001) | 4 | 5-cost 7000: draw 2 and play two 2000-or-less Characters from your hand; -1000 on a 6000-or-more |
| Kawamatsu (OP12-023) | 4 | 5-cost 6000, 2000 counter: the Fish-Man Vander Decken trashes, a Land of Wano card for Hiyori, a 6000 for Ivankov and Lucky Roux |
| Kouzuki Oden (ST32-002) | 4 | 5-cost 6000: draw 1; one of theirs (base cost 6 or less) can't be rested until the end of their next turn |
| Trafalgar Law (OP13-031) | 4 | 6-cost 6000: return one of your Characters to your hand to play a 5-cost-or-less from your hand (rested); Blocker at 1 Life or less |
| Shanks (OP17-022) | 1 | 10-cost 12000, Rush: set 2 DON!! active, then rest all of their Characters |
Mulligans
- Keep Monkey D. Garp or Jewelry Bonney when 1-costs sit around them. Garp and Bonney together: always keep.
- Neither: send it back. Our Pro AI keeps fewer than 1 in 10 of those (8%).
- Our Pro AI keeps about 4 hands in 10 with this list (44%); players about half.
GARP + BONNEY = KEEP. ONE OF THEM, WITH 1-COSTS = KEEP. NEITHER = MULLIGAN.
| The hand | Share of hands | Our Pro AI keeps | Players keep | Players: won kept | Players: won sent back |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Garp and Bonney | 11% | 100% | 94% | 69% (32) | 0 of 2 |
| Garp, no Bonney | 25% | 69% | 67% | 53% (64) | 38% (32) |
| Bonney, no Garp | 25% | 55% | 68% | 61% (62) | 40% (30) |
| Neither | 40% | 8% | 20% | 56% (36) | 44% (138) |
- Why Garp and Bonney: Garp digs 4 deep for a card that costs 3 or more (Bonney, Hiyori, Law, Oden are all in reach). Bonney is the chain itself.
- Keep: Monkey D. Garp, Emporio Ivankov, Kawamatsu, Jewelry Bonney, Kouzuki Hiyori (Garp and Bonney). Keep: You Can Be My Samurai!!!, Emporio Ivankov, Jewelry Bonney, Kouzuki Oden, Trafalgar Law (Bonney with a 1-cost). Mulligan: Lucky Roux, Kouzuki Oden, Nami, Jewelry Bonney, Electrical Luna (a lone Bonney with late cards). Mulligan: Kouzuki Hiyori, Nami, Kawamatsu, Trafalgar Law, Lucky Roux (no Garp, no Bonney).
- Late cards pull a hand toward a mulligan: Electrical Luna, Nami and Shanks don't do anything early, and You Can Be My Samurai!!! needs two Characters down first; Otama and Ivankov pull it toward a keep.
- These are players' own choices, not the same hands played both ways: read them as what works for players, not proof.
Turn Order: By Matchup
- Our Pro AI goes 2nd with this deck almost everywhere; 1st only against Kaido, purple Enel and Rosinante.
- The mirror: go 2nd. Players won 62% going 2nd and 35% going 1st, yet chose 1st 61% of the time.
- Going 2nd gives you 4 DON!! on your 2nd turn (Hiyori into Oden) and 6 on your 3rd (Bonney plus a 1-cost, or Law into Bonney).
| Opponent | Players: going 1st | Players: going 2nd | Players chose 1st | Our Pro AI chooses | Our Pro AI: 1st / 2nd |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Miracle mirror | 35% (34) | 62% (32) | 61% of 33 | 2nd | 54% (24) / 52% (27) |

| Luffy & Ace | 2 of 3 | 33% (6) | 33% of 6 | 2nd | - |
- Our Pro AI chooses: the side it picks in that matchup. The last column is how its own games went each way, the same shuffles played going 1st and going 2nd (the mirror only: outside it, our Pro AI has fewer than 15 games against any one deck, too few to quote).
- Small samples: under 15 games a side, read the players' columns as a lean, not a rule.
The Game Plan, DON!! by DON!!
- 1 or 2 DON!!: Garp, Otama or Emporio Ivankov. Dig for Bonney and Hiyori.
- 5 DON!!: Jewelry Bonney, playing Hiyori (and Nami or Lucky Roux); Hiyori plays Kouzuki Oden. That's your 3rd turn either way.
- 6-7 DON!!: Trafalgar Law playing Bonney, for the same chain again. 10 DON!!: Shanks.
| Your turn | DON!! going 1st | Going 1st | DON!! going 2nd | Going 2nd |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1st | 1 | Garp, Otama or Ivankov | 2 | Garp or Otama (sometimes two 1-costs) |
| 2nd | 3 | Another 1-cost; your Leader attacks | 4 | Two 1-costs or You Can Be My Samurai!!!; Hiyori playing Oden if you hold both; your Leader attacks |
| 3rd | 5 | Bonney: Hiyori + one more; Hiyori: Oden | 6 | Bonney + a 1-cost, or Law playing Bonney |
| 4th | 7 | Law playing Bonney, or Bonney + Hiyori again | 8 | Bonney or Law again; Nami |
| 5th+ | 9-10 | Nami, Vander Decken IX, Shanks at 10 | 10 | Shanks, Nami, Vander Decken IX |
- Your Leader swings from your 2nd turn on: our Pro AI's Leader attacked on 114 of 116 of its 2nd turns.
- Going 2nd, cast You Can Be My Samurai!!! on your 2nd turn: rest the 1-costs that already dug (our Pro AI rested Otama and Garp most) and draw 2. Our Pro AI cast it on 37% (22 of 59) of those turns, players on 25%.
- On 7 DON!!, Law beats Bonney: Law (6) puts Bonney out for free, so it's the same chain plus a 6000. In our Pro AI's close calls, Law was the better play 27 times in 42. Return a spent Garp or Otama to Law: it digs again when you replay it. Bonney comes in rested, but her -1000 still works.
- Vander Decken IX's best target is their rested Shanks: trash Kawamatsu (a Fish-Man) and K.O. it for 2 DON!!. That was our Pro AI's most common Vander Decken K.O. (31 of its 69 Vander Decken K.O.s).
- Shanks on 10 DON!!: our Pro AI's came down on its 5th turn going 2nd (23 of the 33 games it came down), later going 1st.
Fundamentals: Defending With Miracle
- Your Leader keeps the red-green Luffy's DON!! defense: with a DON!! on it and 5 or fewer active DON!!, each DON!! you rest on their turn is +2000 for that battle.
- Miracle spends its DON!! on its own turn, so the defense is often empty after a Bonney turn. Nami refills it: she sets up to 5 DON!! active at the end of your turn.
- The +2000s can go on Nami too: she's the only Straw Hat Crew Character in the list.
- Rest exactly enough: (their power - yours) ÷ 2000, rounded down, + 1. The attacker wins ties.
- Players used the Leader's defense on 28% of the attacks on their Leader: 23% at 4 Life, 30% at 2, 49% at 0. They used a counter card on 10% at 4 Life and on 33% at 3.
- Our Pro AI at 4 Life almost never used a counter card (3% of 142 attacks), and rested DON!! for its Leader on 18%. At 3 and 2 Life it countered 35-41% of attacks; at 0 Life, 71% (105).
- It rested DON!! for its Leader on 25% of the 861 attacks on it, a bit fewer than players' 28%: after a Bonney or Law turn there's usually nothing active to rest.
- Your counters: Otama and Kawamatsu are your 2000s; Garp, Ivankov, Vander Decken IX, Lucky Roux, Hiyori, Nami and Kouzuki Oden are 1000s. Bonney, Law and Shanks have none.
Matchups
- Good: Law (85% for players), Luffy ST10 (83%), Buggy (64%).
- Close: the mirror (48%), Sabo (50%), the Straw Hat Luffy (45%).
- Hard: Xebec (40%), Kaido (32%), yellow Enel (27%). The chain on time is how players won them.

- Players' numbers are this week's EB05 ladder games with Miracle lists (16+ Land of Wano cards), duplicate uploads once, farmed games removed (the same two accounts playing each other 8+ times, one side winning 85%+). Our Pro AI's are its own games with this exact list against each deck's most played list, the same shuffles played going first and going second.
- The chain decides the hard ones. In players' games, when Bonney's chain came by their 4th turn they won 57% against Xebec (27% without it), 50% against Kaido (10% without) and 86% against Buggy (43% without).
- Our Pro AI's column is the mirror only: outside it, our Pro AI has fewer than 15 games against any one deck, too few to quote.
- Seat shares count every Miracle list (8 or more Land of Wano cards); the win rates use the 16+ lists.
The Mistakes That Cost Games
- 1. Going 1st in the mirror. 2. Spending counter cards at 4 Life. 3. Trashing a Bonney when your board is full.
- Going 1st in the mirror. Players who chose went 1st 61% of the time (33 choices), but players' mirrors went 62% going 2nd (32 games) and 35% going 1st (34). Our Pro AI goes 2nd there. Its own mirrors split about equally (54% going 1st, 52% going 2nd, 51 games), so this one rests on players' games.
- Spending counter cards at 4 Life. Players used one on 10% of the attacks on their Leader at 4 Life (657 attacks). Our Pro AI: 3% (142 attacks). Take the hit at 4 and keep the card. At 0 Life it's the other way: our Pro AI countered 71% of attacks (105), players 47%.
- Trashing a Bonney when your board is full. When a 6th Character comes in, our Pro AI replaces a spent Garp, Otama or Emporio Ivankov, never a Bonney: her -1000 works every turn, even while she's rested. Replacing Garp instead of a Bonney was the better play 54 times in 57; Ivankov instead, 38 in 39; Otama, 19 in 19.
A Full Game: The Miracle Mirror
- Our Pro AI against itself, Miracle against Miracle; we follow the side going 1st (the harder side in players' mirrors).
- Its 3rd turn: Jewelry Bonney plays two Kouzuki Hiyoris, and each Hiyori plays a Kouzuki Oden. Five Characters on the board.
- It wins at 1 Life: Shanks rests their whole board, and on the last turn Nami rests both their Blockers for Shanks' 12000 swing.
| Turn (ours) | DON!! | What happened |
|---|---|---|
| 1st | 1 | Mulligan (Hiyori, Nami, Kawamatsu, Law, Lucky Roux: no Garp, no Bonney). New hand: Garp, Ivankov, Kawamatsu, Bonney, Hiyori. Garp finds Kouzuki Oden. |
| 2nd | 3 | Emporio Ivankov draws 3 (showing Kawamatsu and Oden), trashes 2. Leader +2 DON!!: 7000 into 5000. They're at 3. |
| 3rd | 5 | Bonney: Hiyori + Hiyori; each Hiyori: Oden. Each Oden locks their Otama. Their Leader's DON!! defense stops our swing. |
| 4th | 7 | You Can Be My Samurai!!! draws 2; a 2nd Bonney (her Garp finds Nami); three swings, one lands. They're at 2. |
| 5th | 9 | A 3rd Bonney and Nami; our 8000 Leader swing costs them three counters. |
| 6th | 10 | Shanks rests their whole board; our Bonneys knock out three Characters; Shanks hits: they're at 1. |
| 7th | 10 | Nami rests their last two; their Leader saves their Nami with 3 DON!! (+6000); Shanks hits: they're at 0. Lucky Roux comes down and blocks their last swing at our 1 Life. |
| 8th | 10 | Nami rests both their Blockers; Shanks swings 12000, they counter up to 9000: our Pro AI wins. |
- The key pick: Bonney's first play. From that spot, Hiyori as the pick won 74% of the time, Nami 50%, Emporio Ivankov 36%.
- Their answer was the same chain a turn later: in the mirror, both sides have it, so the counter war and Shanks decide it.
Facing It in Perfect 10
- This is the Luffy our Pro AI plays in Perfect 10. It goes for the chain on its 3rd turn: Bonney, Hiyori, Oden.
- It locks one of your Characters with each Kouzuki Oden, rests two with each Nami, and knocks out a rested one with Vander Decken IX.
- At 10 DON!! it has one Shanks: everything of yours gets rested, and a 12000 Rush hits your Leader.
- The decks that beat Miracle most this week (players' Miracle games): yellow Enel (Miracle won 27%), Kaido (32%) and Xebec (40%).
- Its Oden locks your best Character for a turn: in our Pro AI's games it locked a Jewelry Bonney most often (78 of 253 locks), then a Kouzuki Oden.
- Its Nami rests your Blockers most often (Nami and Lucky Roux in the mirror), then your Bonney; Vander Decken IX knocks out what's rested, your Shanks above all.
- After your own Shanks swings, it's rested: against Miracle, that's a 10-cost Vander Decken IX can knock out for 2 DON!!.
- Its chain on time is the danger: our Pro AI won 79% of the games where Bonney's chain came by its 3rd turn, 50% when it never came.
Cheat Sheet
| Keep | Garp or Bonney with 1-costs around them (both: always). Neither: mulligan. |

| 5 DON!! | Bonney: Hiyori (+ Nami or Lucky Roux); Hiyori: Kouzuki Oden |
| 6-7 DON!! | Law: Bonney, and the chain again |
