- The plan
- trade Life for cards early and land a 6000 Wisdom body by your 3rd turn (Nami or Gloriosa going 1st, the 6-cost Nico Robin going 2nd). Every turn: swing, stand it back up with your Leader, then add DON!! and swing again. Charlotte Linlin at 10 DON!! makes your Trigger Characters 8000s; the kill comes on your 6th to 8th turn.
- The list
- 6000 Wisdom bodies (Nami, Gloriosa, the 6-cost Nico Robin) and Big Mom Trigger cards, with Charlotte Linlin and Shanks on top. It's in The Deck.

- Keep or redraw
- keep Gloriosa or Nami. No 6000 Wisdom body: send it back. Only the 6-cost Nico Robin: either.
- The matchups that matter
- Buggy: players won 45%; go 1st and attack its Characters.
- Xebec: 39%; lean 1st (46% vs 31%).
- Trafalgar Law: 55%; go face.
- Top 3 mistakes
- Sending back Gloriosa and Nami hands.
- Going 2nd against Xebec.
- Taking the hit at 1 Life: counter there (at 3 Life, take it).
Robin in one line: players with Robin win 48% of their EB05 games (1,919), our Pro AI 47% (3,300 games), and Robin is a long-game deck: in our Pro AI's games it won 37% of the games that ended by turn 10 and 63% of those that went past turn 16.
What Is Robin?
- A Life deck: your Leader adds a Life card when a Wisdom Character without Blocker is K.O.'d, and stands one back up once a turn.
- Ten of your fourteen cards have a Trigger, so hits often pay you back.
- Weak spots: the fast decks (Luffy OP13, Luffy & Ace, Xebec, Luffy ST10) and removal that isn't a K.O.
- Wisdom Characters: Atlas, Charlotte Pudding, Megalo, Gloriosa, Nami and the 6-cost Nico Robin. Your Leader's two abilities only work with them.
- The restand: once a turn, your Leader stands up a Wisdom Character with 6000 power or less. Our Pro AI used it 353 times in 144 detailed games, and the Character attacked again 333 times.
- The Life refill: once a turn, when a Wisdom Character without Blocker is K.O.'d, add the top of your deck to your Life. Bottom-of-the-deck and back-to-hand removal gives you nothing.
- Trigger Characters (Charlotte Daifuku, Charlotte Oven, The 3 Sweet Commanders) play themselves from your Life; with Charlotte Linlin out they're 8000s on your turn.
The Deck
- The Wisdom bodies plus the Big Mom Trigger package, all at 4, with 2 Shanks on top.
- Nami is the restand's favorite target (172 of 353).
- Most strong players' Robin lists run Lilith instead of the Big Mom cards; this guide covers the Big Mom list.
The list
| Card | Copies | Its job |
|---|---|---|
| You're the one who should disappear! (OP06-115) | 2 | +3000 counter for a card from hand |
| Atlas (EB05-050) | 4 | 1-cost: look at 4 for a Wisdom card |
| Charlotte Daifuku (OP17-107) | 4 | 2000 counter; plays itself from your Life |
| Charlotte Pudding (OP17-109) | 4 | Trash a Trigger card: draw 3 |
| Megalo (EB04-018) | 4 | 2000 counter; K.O. one of their rested 8000-or-less Characters |
| Gloriosa (EB05-052) | 4 | A 6000 that takes a hit for your Leader |
| Baby 5 (OP12-112) | 4 | 2000 counter; Trigger: draw 2 |
| Charlotte Oven (OP17-102) | 4 | Plays itself from your Life; when K.O.'d, replays a 4000-or-less from your trash |
| Borsalino (EB04-058) | 2 | 6000 Blocker; adds a Life card at 2 Life or less |
| Nami (EB05-055) | 4 | A 6000 that adds a Life card when it lands |
| Nico Robin (EB05-016) | 4 | 6-cost: plays a cost 5 or less Wisdom Character from your hand |
| The 3 Sweet Commanders (OP17-114) | 4 | Draw 1, add a Life card, -3000 on two of theirs |
| Shanks (OP17-022) | 2 | Rush; rests all their Characters |
| Charlotte Linlin (OP17-112) | 4 | Your 4000 Trigger Characters become 8000s on your turn |
- The 6-cost Nico Robin plays Nami: in our detailed games it put out Nami 50 times, more than everything else together.
Mulligans
- Keep Gloriosa or Nami: in our same-hand test, those hands won 59% kept and 52% sent back.
- No 6000 Wisdom body: send it back (44% kept, 57% sent back).
- Only the 6-cost Nico Robin: a coin flip (59% both ways).
KEEP GLORIOSA OR NAMI. NO 6000 WISDOM BODY: MULLIGAN.
| The hand | Won kept | Won sent back |
|---|---|---|
| Gloriosa or Nami | 59% | 52% |
| Only the 6-cost Nico Robin | 59% | 59% |
| No 6000 Wisdom body | 44% | 57% |
- It matters most going 2nd: Gloriosa or Nami hands won 61% kept and 52% sent back.
- Charlotte Daifuku is better in your Life than in your hand: hands with it won 51% kept, 61% sent back.
- Keep: Atlas, Gloriosa, Baby 5, Megalo, Charlotte Linlin. Mulligan: Atlas, Charlotte Pudding, Megalo, Baby 5, Charlotte Daifuku (no 6000 body).
Turn Order: By Matchup
- Overall it barely matters: players win 49% going 1st and 48% going 2nd.
- Go 1st against Buggy and Rosinante (a lean against Xebec and Law); go 2nd against Shirahoshi, Luffy ST10, Kaido, Sugar and both Enels.
- Sabo, Luffy & Ace and Luffy OP13: either (the table).
- Why it's close: going 2nd gives you the 2nd-turn Gloriosa and the 6-cost Nico Robin on your 3rd turn; going 1st puts Nami and its Life card down a turn earlier in the game, but Linlin waits a turn longer.
The Game Plan, Turn by Turn
- A 6000 Wisdom body by your 3rd turn, then the restand every turn, then Charlotte Linlin at 10 DON!!.
- Swing, restand, then give DON!!: a 6000 with one DON!! is a 7000 and can't be stood up.
- Use the restand before you end the turn (better 33 times in 43).

| Your turn | Going 1st | Going 2nd |
|---|---|---|
| 1st | Atlas if you have it, else nothing | Atlas |
| 2nd | Charlotte Pudding (trash a Trigger: draw 3) | Gloriosa, Charlotte Pudding or Charlotte Oven |
| 3rd | Nami (adds a Life card), or Gloriosa | The 6-cost Nico Robin, playing Nami |
| 4th | Nami or the 6-cost Nico Robin; the restand starts | The 3 Sweet Commanders or Borsalino; restand |
| 5th | The 3 Sweet Commanders; restand | Charlotte Linlin (10 DON!!) |
| 6th | Charlotte Linlin (10 DON!!), or Shanks | Linlin or Shanks |

- Restand first, DON!! after: the restand only stands up a 6000-or-less, so give the DON!! for the second swing.
- With Linlin out, Charlotte Pudding is an 8000 and can't be stood up either.

Fundamentals
- Counter at 1 Life (better 41 times to 27); at 3 Life, take the hit (79 to 61).
- Hit the Leader mostly, but Characters first against Xebec and Buggy.
- The kill comes on your 6th to 8th turn, with Shanks resting their Blockers first.

COUNTER AT 1 LIFE. AT 3 LIFE, TAKE THE HIT.
- You can take hits: your Life comes back, and a Daifuku, Oven or The 3 Sweet Commanders off the top plays itself.
- By matchup: at 2 to 5 Life, take the hit against Xebec, Rosinante and Kaido; counter against Buggy, Sabo and Luffy & Ace.
- Counter with Megalo, Baby 5 and Charlotte Daifuku, your 2000s.
| Your attack asks for | Landed |
|---|---|
| +1000 | 48% |
| +2000 | 57% |
| +3000 or more | 86% or more |
- Robin's swings are small (3 in 4 ask for +1000 or +2000), but each costs them a counter, about 11 a game. Linlin's 8000s change that: they ask for +4000.
- The kill: your 6th to 8th turn (46 of 62 kills), with your Leader, Charlotte Linlin and Nami. Shanks has Rush and rests all their Characters, so none of them can block.
Matchups
- Your best: Shirahoshi (59% for players) and Law (55%).
- Even: Kaido, Rosinante and purple Enel. Buggy and Sugar lean against you.
- Your worst: Luffy OP13 (26%), Luffy & Ace (32%), Xebec and Sabo (39%), and Luffy ST10 (41%).

Players: EB05 ladder games, every bounty level, with farmed games removed (the same two accounts playing each other 8+ times, one side winning 85%+); '-' under 30 games, or under 15 a side for the split. Our Pro AI: 300 games per matchup for the seven most played decks, 100 for the rest. Bold marks where the two are 15 or more points apart.
Xebec (OP17-039)
- Lean 1st (players 46% vs 31%) and attack their Characters: the Character attack won 13 close calls to the Leader's 6. The 3 Sweet Commanders' -3000 goes on their Linlin.
- Take the hits at 2-5 Life (better 30 times to 17); save counters for 1 Life.
- Gloriosa and Rocks Pirates aren't K.O.s: no Life card back.
Buggy (OP09-042)
- Go 1st and attack their Characters (the 9-cost Alvida first): Character attacks won 7 close calls to 2.
- Counter here: at 2-5 Life countering won 21 to 16, and at 1 Life every close call that wasn't even.
- Their 10-cost Buggy bottom-decks: no Life card back.
Sabo (OP13-004)
- Defend first: Sabo attacks your Leader about 13 times a game. Counter at 2-5 Life (better 24 to 18).
- Players win 39% here, far above our Pro AI's 16%: it's a hard matchup, not a lost one.
- The 6-cost Nico Robin's Trigger can't rest Saul, Ripley or Loki (cost 13+ on the field); Megalo still K.O.s a rested Saul or Ripley.
Trafalgar Law (OP14-001)
Practice vs Trafalgar Law · Hard AI
- Go face: the Leader won 13 close calls to 4.
- Jewelry Bonney's -1000 on a 6000 makes it a 5000, which your Leader can still stand up.
Shirahoshi (OP11-022)
Practice vs Shirahoshi · Hard AI
- Your best matchup: go 2nd (our Pro AI 81% vs 71%) and mostly hit the Leader (19 close calls to 12); Madara is the Character to hit.
- Electrical Luna keeps your rested Characters down, but your restand isn't the Refresh Phase: it still stands one up.
Luffy & Ace (ST30-001)
Practice vs Luffy & Ace · Hard AI
- A race: go face; Nami and the restand were in 7 of 9 kills.
- Their ST30-012 Luffy rests Borsalino when it attacks.
Rosinante (OP12-061)
Practice vs Rosinante · Hard AI
- A long game: take hits at 2-5 Life (better 23 to 14); Linlin was in 5 of 6 kills.
- Sakazuki's -6000 makes Nami a 0.
Luffy (ST10-002)
- Go 2nd (players 47% vs 30%) and counter at 1 Life (6 to 2). Expect two turns in a row when their 10-cost Luffy lands.
Kaido (OP17-058)
- Go face and take hits at 2-5 Life (20 to 13). Charlotte Linlin was in all 6 kills.
- Their 10-cost Kaido K.O.s one of yours when it lands: a K.O., so your Life card comes back.
Enel (OP05-098) and Enel (OP15-058)
Practice vs Enel and Enel (OP15-058) · Hard AI
- Yellow Enel: go 2nd (62% vs 44%). Plan one hit more than their Life. Megalo's K.O. gets around Charlotte Pudding!! (it stops battle K.O.s only).
- Purple Enel: hit Holly (it gives their Ohms Double Attack). Their 8000 Enel can't be removed by effects: beat it in battle.
The Mistakes Strong Players Make
- Sending back Gloriosa and Nami hands.
